Arizona Black Rattlesnake by harbie

Arizona Black Rattlesnake

We were hiking up to some cliff dwellings in Tonto National Forest. This rattlesnake was on the path. It was about 3 1/2 feet long. Luckily 2 forest rangers were there ready to move it with a grabber. I will post that tomorrow. Thank you for viewing!
Yikes, impressive

@janeandcharlie. I was, Jane! It is the 1st rattlesnake I have seen in the wild! I wish he shook his rattler! :)!

Excited might not have been my word - more terrified - I'd be ok if I saw him first from a reasonable distance but I probably would have been looking off for something " interesting" and walked right up on him!
