That is me giving the thumbs up sign. We are snorkeling with whale sharks. They are really large about 18 to 33 ft long. Their mouths are 5 ft in size but their esophagus is really small. They eat plankton. Even though they have 300 teeth, they do not use them to eat. I am not a scuba diver. I wasn't nervous to swim with the whale sharks, but I was nervous to jump off the boat in the middle of the ocean. It was about 2 hours from shore. I am so glad I did it though. It was an experience of a lifetime. Thank you for viewing.
So interesting! I'd like to learn to do this some day too. Living in the desert, it's not something that I've encountered. Charlie's father died snorkeling at age 49 while on a professorial sabbatical in Hawaii, so it's not something we've ever considered until recently as we've researched vacationing in Hawaii. After Alaska last year, we've been thinking about Hawaii too.
