This is a house in Taos in a small subdivision of similar type houses. They are called earthships and are eco friendly. Our children gave us a weekend here as a Christmas present. They are completely off the grid. They generate their own power by solar panels and/or windmills and collect rainwater. There is a porch where they grow plants. They use tires covered in cement to make the outer walls and the back is built into the hillside for insulation. It was so interesting. The inside was decorated nice and very comfortable. You are showing me so many things in and around Taos thet I have never seen. This is cool. I guess when a person goes to ride bikes only, they miss all the cool stuff like this.
