Storm Clouds Rolling In by harbie

Storm Clouds Rolling In

Another snowstorm predicted for tonight...6-9 inches of snow. Denver may get up to 13 inches. Not good for Thanksgiving travel. Thank you for viewing!
No, the snow is not great for travel but it is pretty to see. A wonderful cloudscape.

You've captured it well, and we've decided to cancel Durango!

Looks like trouble

I heard that on the news yesterday, and remembered my first Thanksgiving ('79) in Greeley. Tuesday before Thanksgiving we ending with 14 inches (As I remember), drifting started the next day. So a 40 yr cycle on this snow storm??? Only there was not snow on the ground to start with.

You're sure getting an early start this year - like this in b&w

@byrdlip. Sounds like a cycle! As of right now we have about 16 in (9 was predicted). Not sure if people are making their flights out of Denver! You definitely have to be flexible in CO with the crazy weather!😉 You know...having lived here!

@milaniet. Thanks Milanie! We are getting lots of snow early. The ski resorts opened the earliest ever! Great for them! This shot was taken at dusk so that is what the colors looked like. Just like a b&w shot!

@harbie Yep. I remember that someone I worked with was going to Stapleton and it took eight (8) hours one way from Greeley, 60 miles as I remember.
