Hold on Tight

I took some nice shots on the way home from work, and was about to put my camera away as I was turning onto our street, and this little fountain I often walk by caught my eye as I thought "That could be cool for the hands theme" It is in the small square which was once the site of the medieval fish market. I really like how it turned out, as I was able to frame it so the falling water and the window behind him mirror each other, but the hand is the point of focus for me. Black and white with infrared filter applied in photoshop, and I bumped up the contrast with curves, as I like my B&W's nice and gritty.
Great idea for the theme! I love your processing because I, too, am a big fan of contrasty, gritty b&w's.

Thanks Steve - nice pic by the way. Yeah it's Vik - Vikdaddy is a pun on Big Daddy, a British wrestler from the 80s. Only I find it funny though!

This is a beautiful shot--it looks like it should be on the cover of a magazine

Excellent example for the theme. Love the B&W and the curves of the water and the window frame.
