I'm slowely getting back to biking after my accident two weeks ago. Today was a great shorter ride with my wife over to the Netherlands for 16 miles. I have been loving all the ready to harvest wheat fields in our area lately, so I specially wore my camelpack tonight and packed my SLR into it on the ride tonight. This was pretty much the shot I had in my head before the ride, I had my wife wade out into the field with me. We both had very scratchy legs later on, suprisingly a field of wheat is not as much fun to run through as one would think.
This field was perfectly positioned near a town with a nice big church high on a hill right behind it, and I got some great shots of the landscape there tonight in general, but this really fits with the hands competition this week, and I really like how the focus plane is on one of seemingly infinate rows of wheat, and she has singled out one single stalk.
Beautiful! I love the colors, the focus, the composition... just overall a wonderful shot! Glad to hear you're getting back on the bike and starting to ride again!
The colors are wonderful...and I love that focus...tilt shift? Sounds like you had a good ride...it's so hard to choose one photo when you are happy with so many others...
Came on over after your 'follow' :-) Looking at some of your photos I'm thinking this is a bit different for you. very much my taste....love the subject and colouring and the hand gives it a romantic feel. Thanks for your interest :-)
Love the detail and the way you incorporated your wife's hand to illustrate the theme. You have some wonderful photographs, and I appreciate the information you include explaining how you got your picture.
