6th Annual BBQ 8-7-10

We had our annual BBQ yesterday and filled our place with our friends. It was a great time and everyone is always amazed at how good the burgers I make are. (Good burgers dont really happen in Europe to my knowledge) My wife and started having an annual BBQ party starting when we first lived together in Chicago, where we made Chiavettea's chicken, a famous recipe from our native Western New York. We did that for 4 years in Chicago and switched to burgers for the BBQ once we moved to Aachen as my grill is tiny and we also can't get the chicken marinade from Buffalo imported to Aachen very easily. That is my wife and I in the front row to the right hand side.

I know what you mean about the burgers - I think we had burgers every night for a month when we finally got back to this side of the pond!

Congratulations are in order for getting a nice large group photo, all faces smiling and facing front, and just one pair of requisite bunny ears! You're obviously well-loved (in part) for your wonderful parties, and a good hamburger has be be something they look forward to each summer!
