We went to a small town Alsdorf outside Aachen today with some friends to check out an 'international' festival. The festival was kinda a bust because the only international component; french vendors, had backed out at the last minute. Heh.
The coolest part I think was that Alsdorf used to be an old coal mining town, from the early 1900's until the 1980's, and there was this building with a two GIANT old machines which used to haul the coal to the surface. There were also these giant chains and hooks which were really huge, you see the number on the side 7500, which means you can lift 7,500 kg with that hook!
Great angle steve! Oh yeah and the ppl weren't anywhere near as rough to dolphins fans as you madr it out to be :)
There were actually quite a lot of fins fans there and the stadium kept doing announcements about if any people witness fans being obnoxious etc. Very fun event and the bills did come out looking a little lack lustre but at the start of the second half they picked up. Put together a decent drive which resulted in a TD
Very god shot, indeed. Great how you achieved such a DOF with an aperture of 4.5, and also that the chains give straight lines at 17mm. At such low focal length, I mostly end up with distortions :(

Thanks for the birthday wishes!
