The Happy Gardeners

Unfortunately I have not moved far from the couch today, trying me best to oust this flu bug I got. Fortunately, I had a nice photo op a few meters from said couch. Our first tomato from our balcony plants is about ready to eat! Its about two months later than we hoped but better late than never, right. I really like that the glare on the tomato is kind of in the shape of a heart.

I have gotten through 2/3 of Neil Stephensons Anatham while sick (so 600 of 1000 pages), and it has made for a really interesting read. I read Cryptonomicon a few years back and that was just awesome, but somehow I had forgotten what a good author he is.
That is one grand tomato! Sorry to hear you're still ailng...I'm afraid your good reading has left me totally blank but I certainly know the feeling of getting into a good book. Got through 4 books on holiday!! Only one was a chick read..:-)

I think tomatos are referred to as love apples...so the heart glare is fitting!

Your tomato was a labor of love and it is reflecting this back to you!! Great capture from your couch! So when will it make its way to your table?

Neal Stevensons is a genius. If you like the cryptonomicon, "Snow Crash" and "The Diamond Age" are must-reads. I have them both here, if you need more stuff to read, just tell me.
Hope you get well soon.

Glad to hear good things about the other Stephenson books. I read all his Baroque novels and loved them...amazing detail and imagination. I am also just over half way through Anathem, an engaging and entertaining story. Maybe I should take a sick day and stay home to read.....
