Christmas in Aachen by harvey

Christmas in Aachen

On tuesday evening after work Anne and I did our own little personal gift exchange at home. She wrapped up this beautiful little present for me. I got a nice little immersion mixer for the kitchen, so now we have no limits to the creamy soups we can make! mmmmmmmm.
Immersion mixers are great! I don't know what we'd do without ours. I think it's so important to do your own little Christmas, especially if you travel to be with family for the big day. Chris and I usually do our gift exchange before the holiday, usually a week or two before. Sometimes we wrap our gifts and sometimes (like this year, where we both wanted the other's input) we don't. Our families have never understood this tradition and have always given us a hard time about it, but it works for us.

Beautifully wrapped and decorated. The travelling doesn't sound much fun but seeing family is always good. (For a short time......:-) )

Anne is as good a gift wrapper (and gift giver) as my mother! Enjoy those soups.
