Venus Through Trees

In keeping with recent tradition this is Monday's photo taken when picking up Ben from his after school club. I had actually stopped to take a shot of a view directly behind me over the M5 valley towards the Lickey Hills, but this stood out more - a nice contast in colours between the fading light of the last remnants of sunset, and the orange street lights on the road. The star showing through the trees is in fact the planet Venus setting in the south-west.

This is in fact not one photograph, but eight almost identical frames combined in an experiment to generate a less noisy image in a dark lane. It worked very well.
