Very dramatic.. and not a natural colour for the sky. I wonder what pollutants are scattering the red light downwards and the other colours up and away.
@yrhenwr It was taken 25 minutes before sunrise. The whole sky was covered with various clouds. They were illuminated from below by the sun that was still below the horizon.
