The Easter Palm. by haskar

The Easter Palm.

In Poland and Lithuania, there is the custom of making Easter Palm on Palm Sunday. Each region performs them in a different way. On Saturday, a tent was set up in the square, where volunteers helped children to make their own palm. As you can see, the parents also actively participated.
Such a lovely away to participate in Palm Sunday gospel.

I like the shot of the people engaged in this activity. We use palm fronds on Palm Sunday and decorate the cross with flowers and greenery on Easter Sunday.

We don't do anything like that, so it's very interesting to see the customs of different countries. Looks like everyone's having fun.

I love learning about the different cultures and how they celebrate the holidays. Here in the US some churches also do palms but they actually use palm fronds. I enjoyed seeing that these families are using flowers from Poland instead. Good shot!
