I was digging around in the attic recently and came across this bracelet and picture tucked away in a box. The bracelet - which I no longer have any memory of where it came from - was a favorite of my friend Delia in High School. She loved all things Egyptian. And this is a picture of us taken in a photo booth circa 1987 on a sanctioned day of hooky (her Mom drove us to Harvard Square - how cool were we?!) Delia is the one that introduced me to this project. I'm sure you have seen her work - and if you haven't you MUST - she has a great eye. http://365project.org/deliag/365
Today is her birthday so I post this picture in her honor.
Happy Birthday my dear, hope you have a great day. Thank you for introducing me to this site - I am having fun and learning a lot and think it is a great way to keep in touch across the miles. And just so you know, the bracelet is still yours on my deathbed...
Oh, Holly, thank you so much!!!! How fantastic!!! Really makes me smile. How cool is the price tag still on the glasses lens? I think I still have those things... and I'm glad you like this project - your pictures really are improving. Can't wait to see you guys in July!!
What a sweet and thoughtful rememberance! You're obviously long-time good friends. I think I'll pop on over, following your site, and wish her a Happy Birthday! Those things are best delivered in person :-)
I left you a note when I wanted to "meet you" because you were following my photos. Now I see you live in "Lunenburg", too! Yes, I've come across your town many times when I'm looking for our Lunenburg up here! What fun that we share that commonality!
Sorry to overload your comments list, but if you've the least interest, I have a Shutterfly site with lots of pictures I'd have used on 365 if I didn't have so many choices each day! http://365daysintheyear.shutterfly.com/
Thanks Louise, I will check out your pictures. I seem to take pictures all day but then it's a struggle to find one worth posting! ;) I'm working on it though - and having fun, which is all that matters, right?
