I went to grab a paper towel today and found I had a visitor to my kitchen. I am not really squeamish and I know these spiders are completely harmless but this big fella still stopped me in my tracks. I have always called these Daddy Long Legs - although I'm sure they have a fancier name somewhere. But this one is aptly named, I'd say. What is with that one super long leg in the front?! That doesn't even look like it has a practical application... Well other than harassing it with my camera lens and flash, I let the big guy be. He was gone later - but not soon to be forgotten. Hopefully he's off eating all the other bazillion bugs that have invaded my house this summer!
