With the return of talk of baseball with Spring Training, (so very, very far away from here...) my youngest has developed a renewed interest in his baseball card collection. Unfortunately he hasn't developed any organizational skills to go with it. There are literally PILES of cards all over my house! So, in an effort NOT to become one of those Moms who scars their child for life for throwing out their most prized possessions (even if they were ALWAYS on the floor), today I found a compromise. I spend half my day setting up HIS system and he keeps them out from underfoot and therefore gets to keep them! It may not sound like it but I consider it a Win/Win...
*He made me put them in order by League and Division first, then geographically North to South. I'll give him a pass for now because he's 8 but I'm not too sure if I'm buying this "total lack of organization skills" for long after that!! ;-)
I am impressed! Figuring out how to make categories in a filing system is a tough job, and it looks like he knew what he was doing. Also, being able to "delegate" the job of getting the filing system up and running is smart. This boy has potential. . .
