The Middle School holds a Turkey Trot every year on the day before Thanksgiving. It is a mile run/walk around the school and it doubles as a fundraiser for the food bank. (The entrance fee is a canned good...) The kids have a blast. The competitive ones can make it a race and others, like these lovely ladies, can stroll in in style! The kids who had already finished were cheering everyone on and trying to get the finishers to sprint to the end. These girls were having none of that - but were enjoying the attention nonetheless...
I don't know these girls but I absolutely loved all the expressions in this shot - especially the boys in the background! :-)
