Too Cool For School

...actually more like too busy!

The boys had a half day of school today and I used it to pack in a couple of overdue physicals and a dentist appointment. Poor Cash ended up with the most poking and prodding - and as you can tell by his lopsided smile - a little novacaine to boot. Now he's off to baseball tryouts with a numb mouth and a hangdog slouch.... Hopefully he'll perk up once he starts throwing the ball around. I'm pretty sure this is about as bad as a day can get when you're 9.... :-)

Let me tell you,this day in 2016 *doesn't even come close* to such a day in the mid-50s!I know that ages me, but I recall the dentist using a foot pedal to drill for a filling! THAT was about as bad as a day could get "back when"!!!

@Weezilou You are right Louise, that sounds awful! I remember going to dentists at his age that didn't use gloves - or masks - and that was enough to traumatize me!! ;)
