I haven't kept up with my weeding very well this year. That is not the unexpected part - that is pretty much par for the course... But it certainly isn't very often that something like this appears in my yard out of the blue. It seems to be poking out from under my porch - and the rest of the plant has a definite scraggly, scary look to it. So, on paper, I'd have taken it for a weed. But I've certainly never seen a weed this lovely before so I can't imagine it counts. Wish they all were this pretty. It would save me a lot of time weeding because I would leave them the heck alone! (Oh right, I already admitted that I don't spend a lot of time weeding - well then it would save me a lot of time stressing about the weeding I'm NOT doing...) ;-)
