I got myself a new purse today. Now, being a proper Mom, it is required that I have the gigantic "Mom Bag" that holds anything and everything - whether I can find anything useful in it in a timely manner or not! All the change settles in the bottom and when I start to get a case of shoulder strain, I realize it is time to clean the big boy out! This is the pile I came up with today (minus the ones that were soaking in soapy water because they were covered in something sticky - NOT of my doing I must add!) Not a bad haul for the day if I do say so. And my shoulder is feeling better already.... :-)
Here in Canada, we did away with pennies. The flip side is that we have "loonies" (one dollar coins) and "twonies" (two dollar coins). The weight in the bottom of the purse is the same, but when you dump them out, the value is more encouraging.
