Like a lot of the East Coast it has been stupid cold here this weekend. Single digits have been the norm - and we just tied record cold temps that went into the negative. Weeeeeeeeee!!....
The only good thing about all these brutal temps is that it seems to bring out the birds in droves. The feeders get very busy and it makes for a good show out the windows when you are hunkered down. We have a group of Bluebirds that arrive when the Winter is at its worst. This year there seems to be one female and the other 4 or 5 are male. So naturally I assume she is the Queen... ;) She may not be as colorful as her male counterparts - but she certainly has a regal air to her, don't you think?... :-)
