Making The Most of a Day Off

My husband works for the National Park Service - so he has officially been on unpaid furlough for two weeks now with the government shutdown. The first week during the holidays was easy enough to ignore with everything going on - but now it is starting to feel real - and by ‘real’ I mean ‘really annoying!’ I usually work on Fridays but had an unexpected day off today so the two of us went off on our unpaid leave and lived it up! Ok, so it was really just a nice quiet lunch together, but since it so rarely happens - I’ve decided to ignore the circumstances and just enjoyed the actual lovely moment!! 😊
