sunset in the wheat field II

As I mentioned wheat fields yesterday, I thought I would post one today. Taken at the other end of the day to Saturday's barley. It wasn't until after 8pm on Sunday that I felt I could brave the temperatures and go out. It is difficult where I live to find an enticing backdrop for a sunset, but then I realised that I was in a field of wheat and that I could use this to my advantage. I'm posting two versions, taken less than a minute apart, because I really cant decide which I prefer.

The later capture is on my main album.
Perhaps you can help me decide?
I think I like this one better but for sure it's difficult to decide. I like the warmth of the sun in this one. The first one got me because it accentuates the wheat more than the sunset.

I like this one better. the warmer sky, and the more silhouetted wheat.

I prefer this one, mainly because it will give me nightmares

I like this one better because of the golden color coming through the wheat.

I also like this one just a bit better. I do like the deeper silhouette of the other shot, but the sun flare, the color of the sky and golden hour glow on the wheat field are what push this one out in front for me.

Both photos are wonderful but I do prefer this one because of the sun flare and the beautiful glowing sky. :-)

I think the color in this one is more interesting. If I hadn't seen this one, I would have thought the other to be fine, but this one with the warm tones is really lovely.

this one for me... there's more of a warm feel to the light and it illuminates the crop on a wider scale - giving rise to a feeling of greater depth. love the PoV with the wild grasses poking their heads above the crop - they lend an air of delicacy which counteracts the heavy bottom half of the frame.. beautiful..

@toinette I'm ready to let go of the warmth of the sun here now! Thank you for letting me know your thoughts. :)
@lsquared thanks for letting me know Larry.
@graemestevens once again, I am sorry.
@moonmtn thank you - I gave that just a little bit of help in photoshop for one or two selected strands of wheat.
@olivetreeann thanks for the vote Ann. It is interesting to note all the different reasons for preferences.
@gaylewood thank you Gayle. Im sometimes a bit ambivalent about sunflare - especially if it is over done but agree the colour and glow of the sky as a result is good to have.
@taffy thank you Taffy. All opinions and reasons so gratefully received.
@jorlam thank you so much for your beautiful words.
