In the Fields: the damsel rests

Thank you for the feedback on the damsel fly I posted yesterday, hiding in the grasses. I had quite forgotten that this was the image I had originally intended to post. Same damsel, but a little earlier when it was more inclined to show itself off - although still way back amongst the tall grasses.
Beautiful colours and detail. Do you use a macro lens for these shots, Helen?

@helenm2016 this one was taken some distance away - putting the zoom to the test. I can't change the lens on my compact camera but it does have a macro facility which enables me to get close up when I can.

Excellent. Love how the long arc of the plant it's standing on relates to the long arcs of the wing and 'tail'.
