Here is my take on this weeks 52 portraits of me - the world around me.
I'm juggling with all the things in life that are important to me and that are in the world around me, but is the world around me in these, outside of these, or contained within the uncaptured and captured thoughts in my head?
And 'in my mind' just happens to be the theme for Five plus Two's self-portraits this week.
Oh my- I am certainly not in the most philosophical mindset today, so I probably shouldn't respond to your questions! However, I think everyone knows how you feel as most of us are trying to find a balance with many of the same things that you are juggling- family, job, health needs, things to do, faith, and of course 365!
This is like a large shell in which you are juggling the pictures in your mind! Very creative and something to think about! (it is impossible not to think, I think)
So much to do, so much to think about. In fact, sometimes the thinking is more exhausting than the doing. You always seem to manage to do it, with lots of humour thrown in. A very creative photo Helen.
so interesting and imaginative, helen! i think it's a great picture of you as well. you've put a lot of thought into this and it's turned out so well. i keep coming back to it
I like this, thoughts ring very true. It seems since we invented “labour saving devices” in the 1950s, we have increasingly filled up our “free” time with more and more activity. Peace is a rare beast in this modern world methinks.
@olivetreeann thanks for the comment. Yes - a common problem. @henrir thanks Henri. Stretching challenges! @moviegal1 thanks Kerri, for your comment and continuing to look in on my project. @ethelperry thank you - I am so glad you think so.
@onewing - you certainly seem to live a very full life which must involve a lot of juggling. Thank you Babs. @maggiemae I think it is impossible not to think too, it is just what to do with your thoughts that counts. You summed up my intention with the image pretty well. Although there are a lot of unidentifiable, uncatchable and unhelpful thoughts swimming around in that space too! Thank you. @taffy thank you so much. Atleast eleven different shots in there - it took a while! @fbailey thank you kindly. @haskar thanks very much
@flowerfairyann thank you Ann - and you are so right, the thinking is often more exhausting than the doing.
@pistache how lovely to read your comment. I didn't think I came out too bad either!
@casablanca Im on a path to learning the art of a peaceful mind. It could take me a while! Thank you for your comment. @quietpurplehaze it is important to remember this! thank you. @thphotography thank you very much Kimberly - I appreciate your comments. @annied how kind of you to say so - and honoured by the follow.
@helenhall thanks for the inquiry! I've been sort of absent, but am returning, though perhaps gently. I completely love this, the transparency, the ideas, the balls, the whole ball of wax. kudos!
