The underside of the wings of the butterfly bridge - I found myself here again today gathering heavy clumps of mud on my shoes, and once again defeated by the daffodils. But I didn't mind as my walk along the river blew away some cobwebs and afforded me some opportunities to try a few different shots before popping into town to take the plunge and finally buy myself a new phone.
What an interesting image with many curved lines and detail! You have done right by processing this as a monochrome image, but it is a little dull. If you are shooting in RAW you can bump up the contrast or play with colour swapping (in Photoshop or Lightroom). This image would work wonderfully using either Nik Silver Efex or Topaz B&W Effects. Both are plugins specifically for monochrome work and are add ons for PS & LR. Excellent seeing!
@marshwader still - good to be thinking about progressing to another level (daunting though that seems). The contrast is already bumped up - maybe it needs more.
