No vase needed

I'm such a poor decision maker that having agonised over what to post, I'm now struggling with which of my little stories to tell from the day! perhaps, if nothing else, this project will help me to make decisions.

If you are still with me ... today's walk has once again had a water theme. I took the car out to a different starting point, as ever since we got our baby Skoda, the old one has been playing up and vying for attention. It needs an outing every couple of days. The river was even more swollen than in Bedford and I found myself cut off and in desperate search of a way back in time to provide the promised Sunday lunch! Much mud was accumulated on my boots, new territories were traversed and some amusing delights along the way. This was one of them ... I rather liked the idea that this bunch of daffodils would not be in need of a vase of water.

I'm not generally one for fancy borders but felt this needed something so followed a tutorial and found myself in paths in Photoshop which I have never explored before either.

Skoda still needed more attention on return to the car park, as my key wouldn't work on it. That's another story.

PS - best viewed on black, I think.
Super shot & find

I haven't found out how to add a border in Photoshop Helen. Great presentation of this lovely image - Fav

What a day you've had but I love your story and your photo. The daffodils look quite happy at the moment and the reflections are really good. Congrats on negotiating Photoshop!

This looks familiar; I like the title, not so keen on the border.

@paulmann I think I'd do it differently another time...I just wish there had been a bit more head room for the daffs which is why border was introduced. All part of the learning curve. Thanks for comment and follow.

@tristansmum Thank you Stephanie. Looking forward to some spring sunshine to dry out all the mud now!

Well seen and amusing title! I hope the river is not dangerously swollen for you and your neighbours. I live on the banks of The River Severn so understand the drama and beauty of flooded land. Hope your car is okay!

@marshwader Thank you. The car struggles on and the river has returned to within its banks.
