Cambodia: Sanker River trip

Our six hour river trip started with navigation through the floating village of Prek Toal and continued along the Sanker River with much to interest along the way including some abundant and wonderful bird life. The pace of the boat generally precluded me from capturing any of this. The hammock on board provided the opportunity for a little nap along the way.

I like the colours and reflections in this shot although it doesn't give an indication of the business of the waterways with village life being conducted by boat.

The end of the trip saw us almost as far as Battambang - we alighted at the fermented fish paste market. I only just survived the olfactory experience of this!

Wonderful peak into another world and culture.

My comouter is off at the moment because of thunder storns and I am checking out 365 from my phone. Even on my phone the colours in this shot look fabulous. I will check it out again later on the big screen when the storm has passed.
