Standing Proud

On this St Davids day, and upon the return of colour to my album, what better than a bright blooming daffodil to celebrate?

The keen amongst you will spot that this was taken yesterday - today just didn't present the same quality of light and so the same patch of daffodils were not as resplendent.

My husband is 50% Welsh and takes much pride in this. I made sure that tonight's meal included lamb and leeks, knowing that this would please.

What a beautiful way to start back in with color.

Lovely lighting.

Lovely shot. My husband is a bitsa, he has got Scottish, Welsh, Irish and Manx in his history, so is a pure Celt.

Beautiful and joyful yellow capture, Helen! As Taffy commented...the lighting is splendid. :-)

You've managed to get the whole depth of the flower in focus - they're quite deep, daffodils, I discovered yesterday. I also like the shadows on/through the petals

Lovely to see daffodils out and sunlight on them - nicely photographed Helen. March seemed to live up to it's reputation here overnight - coming in like a lion.

Definitely my favorite yellow flower!
