Ickwell Oak with processing

I am having to spend rather a lot of time going through older photographs for various reasons.

There are an awful lot that get taken and never receive a second glance and it seems a shame always to be in a hurry to take the next one.

I have been so impressed with the transformational effect that some careful processing can have on a photograph, that I have decided to spend a little more time learning some new techniques in this regard and experimenting with some of the photographs that never previously made the cut.

Here is the first one, the original pre-processed photograph appearing in my extras album, and my chosen processing treatment in the main album.

I have a card sale coming up on Monday at Ickwell green, and made a visit there in February to see if I could get some captures that would make good cards. This is the Oak tree on Ickwell green - where the May Queen will be crowned on this forthcoming bank holiday.
I really like this version the processing is excellent. fav.

@onewing @kwind @taffy @flowerfairyann @olivetreeann thank you all. I am glad you enjoyed the style of processing. I had a few printed today to make into cards as the sale is at the same venue as the tree.
