I am hastily and randomly selecting from the abstract data store and these calming colours seemed most fitting. Would that I were gazing into calm blue waters.
On the contrary, I leave for Cheshire in just two hours time, I daren't look at my to-do list so optimistically written this morning, there is a car to fill with diesel, packing to be done, some essential communications to make, a meal to cook and then it will be a deep breath and a bit of a pep talk to myself to ensure that I behave like an adult at Dad's this weekend. (anyone else revert to the worst of their childhood self in the presence of immediate family?)
This is beautifully surreal.. the lovely swirls and circles combined with the sort of sky blue do, indeed, seem laid back and calming.. of course it looks a deeper hue when viewed on black but is just as good..
i do hope your week-end is totally hassle-free.. One doesn't really need to put on an 'adult' front when with family.. they know only too well one's behaviour patterns - right back to childhood and with parents right back to being born.. Be your lovely self Helen and enjoy the visit..
unfortunately i don't have family, other than my children, grandchildren etc.. so i can behave just as i am.. :-)
You're right, it is calming and lovely....my Monday list has now become my 2017 list (I seem to spend more time here than actually getting things on the list done!) And good luck with the weekend....hard to go from child/parent to adult/adult.
Beautiful abstract. I hope your weekend is peaceful and hassle free. Just take a deep breath and tell yourself if things get stressful. 'Is it life threatening, is it going to be the end of the world as we know it'
@adayinmallacoota thank you Belinda. The calmness of the image must have done the trick for the weekend which all went very smoothly. @kjarn thank you Kathy. I appreciate all your careful attention and comments on my photos. @janemartin thanks Jane, that's a result then. @flowerfairyann Ann thank you for your kindness. @evalieutionspics A non pattern sort of pattern is what I like best! Thank you. @suzanne234 Many thanks Suzanne, the weekend went well. @cruiser Chris, thank you for your kind comment - yes it was all plain sailing @stimuloog thanks for your comment and fav Marloes, and for your good wishes. I only spoke out of turn the once - I think. Not bad going, considering. @365projectorgjenfurj sounds like a plan - only you make me want to be on holiday now, floating in the sea. @haskar many thank yous! @moonmtn Kahsia, I just love water abstracts - I think I have said that more than a few times. @onewing thank you for your good wishes Babs. We even got through discussion on what to put on Mums memorial stone, without too much angst. @granagringa I have exactly the same problem - catching up on the project seems to creep to top priority by default. I have to work hard to restore the correct sense of order regarding other important things. @graemestevens thanks Graeme, no-one came to any harm, no-one got thrown out of anywhere, and I don't even remember any raised voices all weekend. Almost unprecedented. Thanks for your encouragement. @wag864 thank you Kas. Yes I am enjoying all the abstract creativity. @taffy So pleased to read your encouraging remarks. Thank you. @jorlam you always take such time and trouble over what you say about every photograph. This is much appreciated and beyond the call of duty. Thank you for all of your perceptiveness and interpretation of the image. And for your good wishes and advice too about the weekend. All went well. Thanks.
