In search of fall

I m popping back this evening to post one from my holidays. I have a large collection of photos which need some careful sorting and discarding, and none of them really stand out for posting. The aim is to get an album together for father in law, so I need to get on with the processing. I confess to having lost interest a bit as nothing is very spectacular.

Anyhow, this was the day we went on the Mohawk trail which should have been a riot of colour but due to the unseasonably hot weather, the red was somewhat limited. It was also the dullest day of our holiday, so not so much of the play of light on the leaves.

Might just have to go back one day!
I like the single red leaf.

How wonderful to have the soft background and hint of color, and the focal point being that single red leaf.

I really like this with the other tree layers In the background. How disappointing you are not happy with the shots from the visit, perhaps you are too critical of your own work, I bet you all the money in the world your father in law will be delighted with his album.
