Statue of Liberty

Continuing to look back on our American holiday:

One day in New York. And what a day!
My poor father-in-law - having turned down the option to return to our accommodation part through the day - was forced to drag his 84 year old legs around New York from morning till night time. It just had to be done - I might never get back there again.

Of course, we started the day with the Statin Island ferry.

with its wonderful view of Manhattan - https://365project.org/helenhall/365/2017-10-17

I like how Lady Liberty is gazing into all that lovely negative space and taking me with her, of course.

@olivetreeann @moonmtn @suzanne234 @maggiemae @onewing @taffy @kjarn @gaylewood @haskar @carolmw @granagringa well thank you each for your comments, and @kali66 for the challenge. I'm undecided about the grey look but thought Id give it a whirl. Unfortunately, FinL was to feel pretty washed out soon after we disembarked from the ferry but the colour returned once we got into Time Square later on in the day.
