I have had a significant amount of mulled wine, and somehow, the tasks before me don't seem to be quite so important any more.......
Nevertheless, I need to put my mind to the shopping list - 10 people for 3 days over Christmas. Or something like that - people don't seem to be able to commit one way or another.

I agree..the red jacket really works, but even without that, what a great sense of snowfall you've achieved here. And the trees framing the subject and giving contrast are so well seen and utilized in your composition.
eurgh i am also having to attend to lists. they seem to be sprouting everywhere. food, presents, house sorting. none of them say: spend time in the frosty garden getting the light just so behind the remains of the verbena and then faff about in lightroom to your heart's content. not a single one. but i digress. i love this image. the subjects make it and i like that there seems a real collection between them. and just enough focus on the snow to give us a sense of the weather
