The sun goes down

All tasks were abandoned this afternoon as the sun shone and the sky was blue. We made a spur of the moment decision and tackled the first from my book of 'outstanding circular walks in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire' which was, in fact, a gentle stroll around Roxton. Nevertheless, by the time we got to the end, the sun was going down and promising a golden sunset.
This is stunning.. Well done

Definitely a wise decision to abandon the tasks to take a stroll, especially when rewarded with such a beautiful scene

Beautiful and I like your composition with the sun to the side of the trees rather than right behind them.

So many really lovely comments which I truly appreciate. I love the surprise aspect of photography. Surprise when you get home and find that you have an unexpected better than average (for you) shot in your collection, and the surprise when you find how many others enjoy a particular scene. Anyway, thank you everyone for your kindness.
