An inconsequential apple left for decay
A post with blue peeling from a more prosperous day
A bin full of greens from collection day missed,
A pretty primrose emerging tattered from the beast
A shattered pile of glass, the result of spirits high?,
A boot without its owner left high and dry,
A heart feint and fading,
A reviver for the same
A ball with no bearings, no longer fit for play.
My walk was taken in Bedford, in the Castle Ward residential area. On my walk I visited the Fishmongers, the Community Interest Company that sells Sourdough bread made on the premises, the Butchers and the Italian Food shop.
Actually, it was Friday, but I have only just had the chance to put it all together. And I have done so at the expense (yet again) of viewing those I follow. It's a busy day on Sunday (which is technically today) but I'll catch up eventually.
Thank you for all you comments, your favs, your encouragement and for providing so many wonderful photos for me to view and learn from.
PS the date showing comes from the template which I overwrote with the newer photographs. Definitely Friday's photos.
I love all your sightings. Isn't it amazing how photography continually opens up our eyes to whatever is around us. Since I have been gone for a month in a lot of sensory overload, I need to re-train my eyes to see what is around me. Your collage is a great reminder. Thanks!
Wonderful "On my walk today" collage! I've viewed quite a few of these collages and you're the first person I've seen to actually write a poem to accompany the image . . . you have a way with words as well as photography! All around excellent, Helen! :-)
@stimuloog thank you Marloes. It was fun, and I had many more photos I could have included. @shawnas365 Thank you Shawna. Much appreciated. @taffy thanks Taffy. I tried to stick to a theme and just use those ones. @overalvandaan thanks, I enjoyed having a go at a little rhyming description @kali66 thanks kali - I'm glad you spotted my attempt to order the photos. Once I started on this, I was on a roll with the photos. @kjarn thank you Kathy. For all your generous comments and visits to my project. @moonmtn You are so right, I find my observation skills so much better when I am thinking about photography. It takes a time, as you say, when returning to the familiar, to start seeing things of interest again.
@onewing thanks for your comment. I think the boot must have belonged to a child that was in a pushchair and kicked it off without the parent noticing. @ziggy77 thanks Jo. @jodies Jodie - thank you very much. @gaylewood you are very generous with your praise. The rhyme was just a bit of fun play with words to help me decide which of my pictures to include, as I had taken too many. @domenicododaro thank you kindly @flowerfairyann I don't know about talent, but I like to try!
