Taken at the end of the day when all the cygnets were safely gathered in and ready for rest.
I too am ready for rest. The last 48 hours has brought about unexpected disruption and concern with my eldest having been admitted to a London hospital after collapsing at work. He is now safely home with a catalogue of tests to follow. But please excuse me having got behind again. After a 2am return from the hospital last night, I am in need of sleep.
so sorry for your worrying time, i get this photo title completely, i remember taking walks with my 5 and counting them all frequently... cant do that anymore
oh my goodness helen so sorry to hear this. do hope your son will be okay. what a worry for you all. i'll think of you gathering him in safely, as the mother swan in this beautiful image. the light is gorgeous
@adi314 thanks for the observation. I agree - I cropped too close in an attempt to avoid the swan being placed bang in the middle, and to keep the reflection, but I don't think it would have mattered. I appreciated the feedback.
Your good wishes and concerns are much appreciated as well as your lovely comments. My son has an ongoing condition - and a long medical history - it looks as though this could be a new complication. We have to learn not to worry and speculate all the time, lest we don't have the energy to deal with the crisis as they arrive.
Good luck with your boy! I know, mothers just go on wortying al their lives about their children. Even if they don’t have a chronic condition. I hope the test results won’t add another difficulty to his situation! Good luck!!
