kick-off countdown

It is one hour before kick off and I'm walking home from work. Everywhere around me are groups of young men in shorts and sports tops amongst a scattering of England flags; they are striding purposefully.


It is a miracle - both the English summer weather, and having reached the semi-final.

Just when will this bubble burst?
