Desert Trees by helenhall

Desert Trees

It is just gone 8 am on our first morning in the desert, and we are back down the Dune after an exhilerating experience, and ready for our cooked breakfast before moving on to some serious trecking through the sand in the heat of the day.

Just time for a few more clicks of the camera, taking in the dead trees at the base which are so characteristic of the Namibian desert scenery. In this National Park, it is an offence to remove any part of the trees - dead or alive.
Another fav. you are really on a roll with your holiday photos. Dead trees and desert really make interesting photo subjects don't they.

all these photos show such an alien landscape. I can't quite comprehend it (as is, how could anyone live there?)
