It was the golden light on this part of the water that I was drawn to, but as I was attempting to capture a wildlife shot (more practice on moving subjects) and the otters were not showing up today, I waited patiently for the duck to move into the area.
Nothing was close by today, so this became a heavily cropped shot. Having made the crop according to my best judgement, I decided to take on the golden ratio composition challenge - and I ended up with this.
