The low hanging fruit by helenhall

The low hanging fruit

the title describes my current attitude to photography - a necessity for the present. At camera club earlier this week, we heard how a photographer might take a hundred or more frames to stack and get that perfectly focussed macro image front to back.

By contrast, I have taken my grab image of the low hanging willow branches over the river, and blurred it. I've added a slight texture layer and created what I consider to be a reasonably pleasing abstract result.
There is a distinctive feeling of movement here - could be wind, could be just created!

What fun -- you've created a lovely motion abstract.

the colours and sense of movement work nicely

it feels like an ICM image - great tones and feeling of movement

(intentional camera movement)

Very pleasing image. Yeah, I just don’t have the patience for perfection. Too much fuss. I am happy to get the light right.

This is so soft and beautiful, love the colour combinations.

@shannejw yes - I used the movement blur as the blended colours and pattern of the leaves made it a more interesting shot to me. Didn't think of ICM at the time.

Elements does a much better job of motion blur than any of my attempts! Real sense of movement here. Also thanks for the explanation of why my focus stacking efforts are pretty useless:)

It works for me.

I thought the same as @shannejw Shanne, it does look like an ICM image. Love the sense of movement.

Lol! I love this ‘moving abstract’ :) Haha, who cares about macro (oops, me...?!) and stacking (me... in the far, far future ;))

Well I like this Helen. It's gentle and soothing. Don't worry about the stacking.
