The old trees of the ancient woodland arrange themselves in line along the main route through the woods. They look to me as if, in waiting over the years to bathe passers by in an avenue of shade, they have learned to put aside their differences and accept their common purpose. Now, they are deep in conversation - exchanging stories and gossip, as if old friends queueing at the post office.
Both leaders brought along their IR cameras to the RPS event on Sunday and talked of how the trunks stood out against the backdrop of green. So, without that option to hand, I tried a conversion in photoshop and rather liked the way it differentiated the colours of the tree trunks and separated them from the foliage so as to be the main focus of attention.
Your commentary is as wonderful as your photo! The interesting trunks do certainly stand out...I love your processing and your composition. This looks like a magical place!
