Bee

I like to think he is looking for his stripes. This one just tickled me - that long carefree crop of hair obscuring all other bee recognition features.

The woodland trust tells me that there are more than 250 species of bee in the UK. Fortunately I have a side on view of this chap and I have him marked as a common Carder Bee. It is all a learning exercise - I have never taken too much trouble to try and identify insects before. Not easy.
Nicely captured, love that fuzz

This is a wonderful close-up! It certainly looks busy...amazing you were able to capture it so clearly...well done! Don’t we learn so much from 365? Whether doing a bit of research for our own images or reading descriptions of others’ images, 365 provides lots of learning opportunities!

Sometimes it's easier to get a shot of them than to identify them! Great shot of this fellow- makes me want to help him out!

It does make it more interesting trying to identify whatever you have found. Some have amazing behaviour or habits.
Plus it's a good trick to try and get more than one shot of a bug, even if some of the other shots are rubbish, there might be a colour or pattern to help you identify them.
