I can not contain my dismay at our Prime Minister's announcement this evening. So I will not write much lest it becomes a rant.
We are called upon to stay alert. The most ridiculous call to action I can think of. Well obviously the government needs to stay alert, and make the right decisions accordingly, but what does that mean for us?
This snail has the answer. Alert and playing safe by being at home.
we have today the lowest report of new cases, just under 300. the governments are under a lot of pressure from businesses and economists and in one hand it is understandable, but we will see at what cost.
mr. snail seems content where he is. aces on the shot.
I'm not entirely sure how you're meant to stay alert....perhaps of you're out walking and see COVID-19 coming down the street you could quickly hid behind a tree in the hope that it won;t see you...in the meantime, excellent shot, nice detail on this chaps shell as well.
That snail would need to be alert in my garden! I'm not a killer, but they do get put over the fence into my front garden, where there is only grass ! Lovely picture!
Stay alert translates to, it's your fault if it all goes wrong cos you didn't stay alert. Nothing to do with what the government did.
I started wildlife photography with snails as the don't run away so fast. fav
@stevejacob I think you are right about the govmt message. I also think they could do with staying a bit more alert to what other countries are more successfully doing. This snail was actually quite a quick mover - but then I am really not good at finding my subject before it moves off elsewhere.
@graemestevens we were all having a joke about looking out for the virus as we go on our way - maybe saying the odd boo to keep it away, I will bear your advice in mind too thanks.
@jyokota well I thought perhaps as he had his head out of his shell and was looking around he was staying alert - actually he was moving rather fast (for a snail).
I do feel like the snail...slow days but I do like staying home with my doggie and kitty! I don't think anyone feels very alert these days...all in a fog! :) fav
