Helen -- thank you for the challenge and I am sorry to hear about your father. As you are doing the "one subject one month" on the coke can so as an adjunct to that try using narrow depth of field where you object is in focus but the foreground and background are not. Let me know if that works and best wishes.
@jaybutterfield thank you - as you can see, I am a week behind with the coke can images - but I did bring the can with me, so I should be able to manage the challenge for sure. I will make it my business to!
@summerfield sweet of you to ask VIkki. After the shock of testing positive for covid, and having to wait out a period of isolation, I am now with my brother and sister caring for Dad at his home in his last days. It is an all consuming situation that doesnt allow me to participate fully on 365. Just catching up on get pushed responsibilities whilst on night watch with Dad.
hi there... i'm so sorry you are facing such a difficult time... with so much going on i would completely understand if you have no time or energy for photography or get pushed challenges... if you want to play this week, i offer you the challenge of drawing inspiration from the word "simplicity"... please don't feel you need to provide me a challenge in return... take care!
Thinking of you and your family and praying for an undeniable sense of the Lord’s peace and comfort to envelop you all. You — with your kind, creative, inspiring spirit — are missed here on 365. I hope to see you return eventually, my friend.
@janetb Dad took his last breath on Friday last. He had his three children continuing the care for him over the last 10 days of his life, which he spent entirely at home. His suffering is now complete. I will return, but for now am battered and shattered.
@helenhall How kind you are to take the time to respond. I am truly so very sorry for your loss. The love you have for your Dad is so clearly visible, and it’s been an honor to be given the chance to have a glimpse into your beautiful relationship. I will continue to pray for you and your family.
The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
