This is the suitcase my father owned as a boy. It is most probably the one that he carried when he was sent to school one day by his parents, aged 7 and with his older brother, in order to be 'sorted' and route marched to the station for evacuation to Cornwall.
He was to be evacuated three more times during the second world war. If only the case could talk of the adventures he got up to.
It will now be the memory keeper of all the bits and pieces from the house that my brother has kept. Treasures to remind him of his own child hood memories and experiences.
