This is the point at which we turned back when trying to climb Heavel - the highest hill on Barra. There was no marked path and we were climbing through boggy land which was steep in places. The sight of approaching grey clouds followed by rain made us realise that if the cloud descended we would have great difficulty finding our way back. No phone signal, no walking poles - we had to make the sensible decision. At this point we were treated with a double rainbow, by way of compensation.
