Waiting

In the morning, the airline texted to say there was a flight at 11 so we hurried to the airport, along with all the other passengers and waited....and waited....and waited. As the day wore on it gradually became clear that the volcano ash cloud was a big deal and we were not going anywhere for a while. Luckily this terminal at KL airport is very spacious and clean (just look at those shiny floors!) so not a bad place to be if you have to hang around all day.
One group of children amused themselves for the entire day by pushing each other around on a luggage trolley - hurtling at breakneck speed around a course they'd devised which seemed to be inspired by the Formula One track just a few miles away. I could hardly bare to watch - to my neurotic mind, this looked like an 'accident-waiting-to-happen' and I was sure they'd be going home via A & E. But they seemed to escape unscathed, and their squeals of laughter lasted all day!
You can hardly see the luggage-trolley-racers in this picture but they are zooming in from the left, about to collide head-on with that large metal rubbish bin!
the reflections on those shiny floors are amazing ... must be quite slippery in the wrong shoes?

Spotted them...but only because you described where they were! Very clean looking place to be.
