It's June 1st and summer should be here. Early this morning there was a soft drizzle, which has now organised itself into a steady rain. I think cricket will be cancelled this evening! In honour of summer starting - in theory, if not in practice, I'm going for a rose picture today - a wild one growing in the hedgerow. I love their delicate pink colour. I didn't notice the stowaway in the top corner until I uploaded the picture from the camera...
Helen, this is just soooo beautiful. And although summer isn't "officially" here until later this month, it sure has felt like summer the past few days, with temps in the 90's. Whew! It jumps from winter to summer here overnight, totally skipping Spring altogether.
You've picked a lovely flower to represent summer. I also like the pale blue sky. It is an amusement to me that the country where it seems to rain almost constantly invented a 5-day sport that's only play outdoors when it's not raining!
