Walking the dogs near Eversden this evening I noticed this heart-shaped helium balloon stranded in the middle of a nearby field. It was bobbing bravely in the breeze, tethered by its semi-deflated mate.
We spent the rest of the evening packing for Ed to go off on a three- day camping trip with school tomorrow. SInce the weather could be anything from torrential freezing downpours to tropical heatwave, he has a backpack the size of a small house, stuffed full with every kind of thermal/waterproof/sunshielding garment known to man.
What a pretty find for your picture today. I had something nearly identical the other day that I ended up not using...might have been it lacked a heart-shaped balloon! http://365daysintheyear.shutterfly.com/1679
Glad to read I'm not alone, over packing. I can't stand being either too hot or too cold, so I'm always prepared for any event. On any given day here, we probably go through three changes of clothes...cool morning, warm afternoon and cool by evening again. We're just lucky we haven't had much fog this year!
every were is looking nice and green after all the rain, the red balloon adds a nice splash of colour. Hope Edd has a good trip and the sun shines for him
Love the field of green with that pop of red! Also love all the trouble a parent goes through in "helping" a child pack for camp...he will probably come home sunburned wearing what he left in and covered with bug bites ...he will not have "remembered" to put on any of the sunscreen, bug spray, etc. He won't change clothes unless he ends up getting all wet or falling in some mud...you get the idea...that as been my experience with kids and camp :-}}
Helen, I have a good idea...before Ed leaves the house make him put on the sunscreen and bug spray then...not much you can do about getting him to change clothes, etc. But one good thing is you never have to remind them to eat. They always seem to remember that one! LOL
What a reflective photo....that really makes me wonder even more. (I laughed when I read all the things you have packed for Ed!...perhaps that should be a photo! haha! I hope he has fun!)
